Programs, Training &
Workforce Development

American Media Society combines training, mentorship, and production into one integrated model. Participants do not simply attend lectures; they join a working creative environment where skills are learned through real projects.

Program 1:

Emerging Creator Production Track

For students, interns, and early-career artists

The Emerging Creator Production Track gives students and young creators a professional environment to develop thesis projects, internship experience, and production credits while learning the standards of real-world media work.

Participants gain exposure to:

  • Set etiquette and professional conduct
  • Producing, directing, camera, lighting, sound, editing, and post-production workflows
  • Team communication and accountability
  • Creative development and story structure
  • Distribution awareness and audience strategy

Program 2:

Veteran & Industry Mentor Track

For experienced professionals and senior creatives

AMS creates a pathway for experienced media professionals, retired or semi-retired creatives, and industry veterans to remain connected to the creative economy.

Participants can mentor younger creators, contribute to productions, learn new tools, and help preserve the standards of craft that are often lost in fast-moving digital environments.

This program supports:

  • Mentorship opportunities
  • Digital media upskilling
  • Production consulting
  • Teaching and workshop leadership
  • Intergenerational creative exchange

Program 3:

Creative Workforce Revitalization

For unemployed, underemployed, and career-transitioning adults

AMS is developing a revitalization pathway for adults who want to re-enter the creative economy or transfer existing skills into media production.

The program is designed to help participants rebuild confidence, learn current production workflows, and connect with meaningful creative work.

Areas of focus may include:

  • Production support roles
  • Digital literacy and media technology
  • Administrative and back-office production support
  • Project coordination
  • Creative entrepreneurship
  • Communication and workplace readiness
