American Media Society was created to answer a simple question: what happens to the arts when the people who know the craft are separated from the people trying to enter it?
Our answer is a new model of production and mentorship.
AMS brings together students, emerging creators, experienced media professionals, career-transitioning adults, and community partners to create professional media projects while building the skills required for long-term creative employment.
We believe the future of entertainment should not be shaped only by algorithms, franchises, and corporate consolidation. It should also be shaped by actors, musicians, filmmakers, writers, editors, producers, designers, technicians, mentors, and working artists who understand the discipline behind the work.
AMS is building a home for that work.
